When I was little, I had no depth perception due to stabismus.  I had to have two really intrusive eye surgeries where they cut holes in my eyes and pulled out the muscles.  It’s a terrifying surgery to see, and I never should have watched it because it makes me sick now.
I got a physical last week and I nearly failed the depth perception test.  I still can’t get my eyes to look the same way.  It’s not a big deal really; you probably never noticed it.  But after all these years, it turns out there really was a legitimate justification for being such a clumsy, accident prone child.  I’m still cross eyed.  Nuts.
